ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent works to protect you from bugs by using the repellent, allethrin. Allethrin is a synthetic analog (chemical copy) of a naturally occurring insecticide, pyrethrin, found in the pyrethrum flower of the Chrysanthemum family. Refills can be stored for long periods of time and do not have to be used all at once. When done using, turn the unit off and restart when ready. It should be stored in a dry, dark place if time between uses is more than a week. Mat must be replaced when it changes from blue to white.

I'm usually quite sceptical of new fads and gizmos for "Busting those dreaded flying Pests". Being an avid outdoorsman and hunter in Canada is a wonderful thing but some of those spring evenings when the weather warms the bugs can be unbearable. Spring Black Bear hunting is a passion I indulge in, but the constant buzzing in your ears of Black Flies, Mosquitos biting thru my light cotton gloves and the No See Ums getting thru the headnet can almost drive you mad. The Bears don't appreciate the movement or the sound of constant swinging and slapping at them either. Wednesday May 31st, last day of the season was especially bad and I decided to fire up my NEW birthday ThermaCell. I was unprepared for the result. Within 2 minutes every flying critter was gone and nothing even came close for the next 4 hours. I had a friend from Switzerland with me and all he could mutter was "I don't believe it" all night.I'm impressed all to hell and will be adding a couple more to my growing supply of new toys. Well done, finally something that works.
