I bought the Stinger MK-100 "Bug Killer" at Lows to try to control the mosquito population in our back yard. I found this item to be useless. I don't think it killed one insect all summer. To add to the problems with the unit the bulb failed after 2 weeks of use. I contacted the Company Consumer Service and they sent me a replacement bulb which lasted 2 months and blew out. I called them again and got a recording that stated that the bulb was expected to last 1½ months! At $12 a pop this is outrageous!
So, since the thing doesn't work anyway and even the bulbs don't last, I will cut my losses and throw the thing out.
I would definitely NOT recommend this unit as it is a failure.
My next-door neighbor bought the Stinger UV40 and after returning 3 of them that didn't work he gave up too.
worthless I have had 3 of them fail since the Summer of 2007. Do not buy this product
