Customer Reviews

These things are great! About a year ago, my buddy next door got one because bats were sleeping (and pooping) under his carport roof. It worked so well, some of them moved over to our place to get away. Now we like bats and appreciate the work they do so we don't want to hurt them or scare them away entirely, just keep them out of our areas. Long story short, we bought one about a year ago from a local hardware chain and paid full price( when will I learn-check Amazon FIRST!). Anyway it worked so well it moved the bats into my shop, right over my work area-not good either. So I got this one and that solved the problem. The bats are still in the area eatin' bugs, but not where they shouldn't be. Very happy with it! By the way for what it's worth, both of ours are located quite near our bedroom window yet we don't even hear them.

Ok I bought this unit inspite of some critical reviews. Here's my story and I'm sticking to it it. It works. I can tell of two different positives from setting it up. We have a "mud room" the back door opens into it and it's a laundry room and pantry. Then there is a second door into the kitchen. I installed a doggie door some years back for my babies to come and go as they needed. Directly across from the doggie door is a set of metal shelves, that's where I set it up. I've always had spiders living in the corners of this room and would vacuum them with the wand at least twice a month, they always came back. Well a month after cleaning the webs and turning on the machine, no spiders have moved in. But the next part is cool. We live in the mountains, and have critters wandering around out back. Several times we've had possums and raccoons come in to snatch some dog food. I was in the kitchen and knew where all three of my pups were, on the sofa snoring. I caught something out of the corner of my eye. A raccoon stuck it's head part way in the door., He must have heard the machine. Because he backed up fast. I heard it happen again another night. The dogs were a little skittish coming in with it aimed at the door, but they are used to it now. My son came home for Thanksgiving and his little dog, who was used to the door before, would not come in as long as the power was on the machine. So in my experience it keep Spiders and Raccoons away, hmmmmm come to think of it, I haven't seen the guys who drive around in pickup trucks with chest freezers in the back, trying to sell meat door to door either. Wow, it works better than I thought
