This unit [Emerson Indoor/Outdoor Cordless Rechargeable Bug Zapper] sucks big time ...When it worked it did the job very well ... The light started flickering very shortly after I received it then burned out ... It cannot be replaced ... Oh by the way CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID THEY WOULD ''BE SENDING A NEW UNIT'' but I never received it ... This only compounds shoddy equipment by a lying customer service ... My recommendation is to stay away and look at plug-in-the-wall units that you can replace the light (source) ... DON'T BUY THIS UNIT ... IF YOU BUY IT YOU'LL BE SORRY !
The bug zapper worked for about a day and then just didn't charge right. Contacted the company and they were pretty responsive as they arranged a switch and actually sent me 2 in its place. Since then, one of the chargers has failed to work. The product actually works on small flying insects but we were still getting eaten alive in the backyard with the zappers right near us.
