I bought this product after a friend's recommendation last spring. I placed it on a far corner of our deck and it did work well at killing insects. However, the grid quickly becomes clogged with dead insects and killing power is reduced drastically until you clean it with compressed air. Then, this spring I went to put it out again and the unit won't operate. I bought a new UV bulb thinking that was the issue, but it still doesn't work. Called customer support and they tell me it's likely a bad starter. Now I have to deal with returning and waiting weeks for my unit back. Get a Flowtron instead - my neighbor has had one for years
This product is not worth the price. It quit working after about 45 days, so my husband decided to check it out and found that the design was poor. The auto on board was not sealed off, which allowed moisture to enter. It is just not worth the money. Keep on looking for another brand that will hold up.
