I bought this to kill Mosquitoes. Because of the high voltage, it often makes a loud pop when it touches a bug. When you touch Mosquitoes with it, about half of them pop and immediately fall down. The other half get stuck to the screen for continued electrocution (getting them off the screen is very easy).
I picked up some of the "popped" Mosquitoes after they fell down to see if they were actually dead. After letting them sit for a while, many of them reanimated and tried to fly away! They were only stunned.
I would Not buy this product again. Volts aren't as important as Amperage. Always look to get high Amperage!
Great experience with the company so far...delivered in a timely manner and a really great product!...would recommend buying it...it really does do what it says...so easy to use, no mess and above all, kills those insects...like it so much, bought another one for upstairs, so I would have one handy there also.
